MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University travels to Fort Worth, Texas, to take on No.7-seed Iowa State in the first round of the 2022 Big 12 Tennis Championship on Thursday, April 21, hosted by TCU. All matches are set to take place at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Mountaineers (7-16, 0-9 Big 12) enter the tournament as the No. 10-seed. Thursday's contest is slated to begin at 11 a.m. ET and will be a rematch following the two squads' regular-season finale, on April 17, when then-No.30-ranked Cyclones topped WVU, 6-1, in Ames, Iowa.
"Tomorrow is a big opportunity for our team," Mountaineer coach
Miha Lisac said. "This is what we've practiced and worked towards all season. The stage is set. The match against Iowa State provides us with the opportunity to turn the outcome around from our previous matchup."
