MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team is home for the last time this season, as No. 2 Oklahoma travels to Morgantown on Sunday, April 10. First serve against the Sooners is set for 11 a.m. ET, at the Summit Tennis Academy. WVU will honor senior Anastasiia Bovolskaia prior to the start of the match.

"We are looking forward to hosting Oklahoma Tomorrow," Mountaineer coach Miha Lisac said. "OU had a great season so far, and it will be exciting to challenge our skills and our game against them. We couldn't have asked for a better opponent to close our home slate against.

Tomorrow is also a special day for our senior Anastasiia. She has been with our team for four years and this will be her home match. We plan to go out and play for everything that she has accomplished in the last four years. It is exciting to see her graduate and see all of the opportunities that she is looking at in terms of moving on with her life"

The Mountaineers (7-14, 0-7 Big 12) and the Sooners (22-1, 7-0 Big 12) are set to meet for the ninth time since joining the Big 12. West Virginia is seeking its first win over Oklahoma. The last time the two programs met was in 2019, when OU topped WVU, 5-2.

The Sooners are currently ranked No. 2 nationally and come to Morgantown on an 11-match win streak, dating back to Feb. 14, when Oklahoma fell to then-No. 2 UNC, 4-2, at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor tournament.

OU has four players ranked on the latest ITA national rankings, and one doubles pairs ranked. Junior Layne Sleeth leads the Sooners with a No. 17 ranking, followed by sisters junior Carmen Corley (41) and senior Ivana Corley (65). Additionally, the Corley sisters are currently ranked the No. 5 pair.

West Virginia is coming off of a 7-0 loss to No. 12 Oklahoma State. The Mountaineers played host to the Cowgirls to Morgantown on Friday, April 8, at the Summit Tennis Academy, in Morgantown.
